The Commission of European Communities has FINALLY issued a formal document about the maximum concentration values for the six substances banned by RoHS. The web site is here, or you can paste http://europa.eu.int/eur- lex/lex/LexUriServ/site/en/ oj/2005/l_214/ l_21420050819en00650065.pdf into your browser, after you take out the spaces after eur-, en/, and l_214/.
I know this is not really NEW news, and everyone’s been expecting that the Commission would definitely go with the maximum concentration values of 0.1% by weight for lead, mercury, chromium VI, PBB & PBDE, and 0.01% by weight for cadmium. BUT, there was still the chance that they (or the European Parliament) would have a fit about something-or-other at the last second, like they did for cadmium in relay contacts. So it is really nice to see something in writing.
